Good friends and gifted artists Madelyn Kowalski (cello) and Anna Han (piano) will perform a recital here in Lunenburg which they will perform in Scotland this Spring - in March 2024.
The programme celebrates Camille Saint-Saëns’ first two cello sonatas, preluded by a selection of short works which elaborate on special qualities of each work, including the vastness of nature and the closeness of the minute and ephemeral details of nature. A primarily French program, it also features works by non-French living composers titled in French: Thomas Adès’s Les eaux – from Lieux retrouvés and Kaija Saariaho’s Papillons.
