String Duo, Trio, Quartet

LAMP Fellows Soyoung Choi, Ami-Louise Johnsson, Edward Luengo and Madelyn Kowalski will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Viola da Gamba Sonata in D Major, Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor, and finish the afternoon with Anton Arensky’s String Quartet No. 2 - a piece of chamber music in three movements composed in 1894 and unusually scored for violin, viola and two cellos. Arensky dedicated it to the memory of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who had died the previous year.
