Tunes on Tuesday

Each year LAMP offers two concert series: one in Spring/Summer and one in Autumn/Winter. Since 2024, part of each concert series includes Tunes on Tuesday - an opportunity for visiting artists to add dimension to their typical concert preparation with the addition of a live audience.

For the artists, Tunes on Tuesday provides a casual performance where they can showcase festival or audition pieces, test out new pieces they’ve been working on, and build confidence performing in front of an audience.

For the audience, Tunes on Tuesday offers a relaxed and friendly environment with none of the ‘rules of etiquette’ typically associated with classical performances. It’s suited for people of all ages, and it creates a connection with the performer you don’t get in a formal concert. And if you are completely unfamiliar with classical music, it provides an opportunity to check it out at no cost whatsoever.
