Piano Recital: Anna Han & Mon-Puo Lee- entrance $25
Anna Han is an American pianist who started taking private piano lessons at age five with Mr. Fei Xu at New Century Conservatory in Chandler, Arizona1. She was trained and inspired by him to rapidly and thoughtfully learn demanding repertoire, developing a technique that undergirded her growing career at a young age1. In 2014, she was named a United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at Juilliard. She has given performances at venues such as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Alice Tully Hall. She was hailed by the Washington Post as “prodigiously gifted… a display of imagination, taste and pianistic firepower far beyond her years”. Anna first came to Lamp in the height of the global COVID-19 pandemic and has returned regularly ever since.
Mon-Puo Lee was born in Madrid (Spain) in December of 1993 into an artistic Taiwanese family and soon started to play the cello. He became a student at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya and Ivan Monighetti. He has collaborated with several orchestras as soloist like Chamber orchestra of Andrés Segovia, Tonyeong festival Orchestra.
This is the first of two performances at Lamp this Spring. Programme to be announced.
