Outstanding opportunities for emerging string quartets

The Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance is seeking young string quartets for three to four week residencies in 2017.

These residencies are designed to give emerging quartets the opportunity to expand repertoire and prepare for competitions under the guidance of LAMP's resident and visiting masters in the tranquil environment of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, as well as performing in our beautiful and intimate recital hall located in the historic Lunenburg Academy. The period of residency is flexible.

LAMP is a post-graduate, non-academic music school offering high level instruction on performance and interpretive techniques. We offer coaching in all instruments but with a special focus on string quartets, composition and bel canto.

Who is eligible?

This is a post-graduate level residency open to young quartets of any nationality. Members must have a university degree or conservatory diploma, and must be under the age of 32 by December 31, 2017.
